The Value of Things
I've been playing with LLM's over the past few years; probably in part was just a fear of missing out.
I've both used AI via chats, and let LLM's program agentically. My feelings are mixed. One day I will write a more detailed opinion, but hey, with all this hype, there are enough opinions1.
One thought keeps repeating though;
I reminisce about this lesson from one of my favorite books as a child2:
"When you can have anything you want by uttering a few words, the goal matters not, only the journey to it." - Christopher Paolini (Eldest, 2005)

2I reread the book as an adult, when the follow-up novel Murtagh came out. As a child I loved all the side-quests. Now I felt the books could have been a much, much shorter. And ugh, I still hated the amount of fan-service in the last book of the original series. 🧚
